Alfurqan (الفرقان) – Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how the Alfurqan (الفرقان) mobile application ("Alfurqan", "the App") handles information. Alfurqan is developed and published by CloudLinqed ("we", "us", or "our").

Alfurqan is an audio Quran app. It allows you to:

• Stream Quran audio recitations from third-party providers
• Display Quranic Arabic text from trusted sources
• Optionally download audio files for offline listening

We designed Alfurqan to work without collecting personal data from you. This policy explains what data is (and is not) processed when you use the App.

2. Data Collection and Use

2.1. No personal data collection

Alfurqan does not:

• Require you to create an account
• Ask you to sign in
• Collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact details
• Collect location data
• Collect device identifiers for tracking purposes

2.2. Network requests (audio and text)

To provide Quran recitations and Quranic text, the App connects to third-party services over the internet:

• Audio recitations are retrieved from Al-Quran Cloud API
• Quranic text is retrieved from the Tanzil Project and/or related Quran text services

These requests are limited to retrieving audio files and Quran text. We do not attach any user identifiers, profile data, or personal information to these requests.

Any network-level information such as IP address or basic device details is handled directly by those third-party service providers as part of normal internet communication. We do not access, store, or use this information for our own purposes.

3. Offline Downloads and Local Storage

3.1. Optional downloads

The App allows you to download Quran audio for offline listening. Downloads occur only when you explicitly choose to download a recitation or surah.

3.2. Local storage only

Downloaded audio files are stored locally on your device. We do not:

• Upload downloaded audio to our servers
• Track which surahs or recitations you download
• Share information about your downloads with any third party

You can delete downloaded audio at any time using the App's interface or your device's storage settings.

4. Permissions Used

To function correctly, Alfurqan uses the following Android permissions:

• Internet: to stream audio and retrieve Quran text and reciter information from remote servers.
• Foreground service / media playback permissions: to keep audio playback running in the background.
• Notifications: to show media playback controls while audio is playing.
• Storage (or equivalent scoped storage permission): to save audio files that you choose to download for offline listening.

These permissions are used only for the purposes described above and not for tracking or collecting personal data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties, because the App does not collect personal data.

Third-party services used by the App (such as audio and text providers) may process limited technical data (for example, your IP address) as part of normal internet operations. Their handling of such technical data is governed by their own privacy policies. We do not control or manage those services beyond issuing simple content requests (audio files and text).

6. Children's Privacy

Alfurqan can be used by users of all ages. The App does not collect personal data from any user, including children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through any external channel (for example, email), please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Because we do not operate user accounts and do not collect personal data within the App, we do not maintain user profiles or retain personal information on our servers.

All downloaded audio files and playback positions are stored locally on your device. You may remove them at any time by:

• Deleting downloads through the App (where supported), or
• Clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App from your device.

8. Security

We do not store personal data on our servers. Network connections used by the App rely on standard transport security provided by the operating system and the connected services (for example, HTTPS where supported by the content provider).

As with any internet-based service, we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we design the App to minimize data collection and exposure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or applicable laws. When we update the policy, we will adjust the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
